Welcome to Melangell Farm

Melangell [mel-AHN-gel] farm is a designated Urban Agriculture farm located in the heart of the food desert in Prince George's County, Maryland.

To nurture our land and our community, we focus on small-scale meat rabbit husbandry and free-range egg production, while also offering home-made fruit spreads, breads, and herbs.

What is good for the world will be good for us. This requires us to make the effort to know the world and to learn what is good for it: to cooperate in its processes, and to yield to its limits; to acknowledge that creation is full of mystery, and to stand in awe of it. Therefore, we focus on farming processes which nourish the earth and operate in cooperation with nature.
